Stupid FFNet

Okay, I totally didn't realize that when FFnet changed their set up that they set everything back to default! Which means not only did they disable my PM option but turned off ALL OF MY ALERTS! O.O!
Which means that since February I've gotten no author alerts, no story alerts and no review alerts for any of my stories! ;__;
No wonder My e-mail has been looking a little grim. :P It has been fixed though. I couldn't figure out why none of the FFnet reviews I know were given for the latest chapter of CM weren't showing up!
So to any and all who reviewed On FFNET to which I didn't respond- I AM SO SORRY! ;___;

Date: 2011-07-20 01:15 am (UTC)What really pissed me off is I have some fics on alert but not in favs/community or anything so now I'll have to go track those all down to see if they updated.
and I feel really bad that PM was turned off. I always encourage questions

Date: 2011-07-20 01:24 am (UTC)... borked?

Date: 2011-07-20 01:30 am (UTC)And are you asking how it borked, or what I mean by borked? Hhehe Borked = fubar'd
The borking was that it duplicated the last third of the chapter, but it didn't show in my document uploader like that. So I redid the whole thing. It looked normal to me. Then I think it was the next morning I got a PM from a reviewer going something like, "Ooo! I'm glad I looked at your LJ, are you planning to post the first half of the chapter to ffnet?"
O_O All ffnet showed then was the last third or so that it had duplicated before. Yet when I went in, the doc uploader was fine. Looked just as it should. After about 5 months of fighting crap like that, I pulled a 3-yr-old, and took my toys home. LOL.
If they ever get their crap fixed, I'd attempt posting again, but I'm still mad at them and sulking over the mess they've made of the fics I've had posted for ages, so I'm not quite ready to test it yet.
/babbling away. =D

Date: 2011-07-20 03:13 am (UTC)TRAIN QUOTE:
"Um, Sergeant?" Still leaning over the railing, Norimichi rubbed his eyes. "Aren't people supposed to ride inside those things?"
Yakume found himself crushed up against the guardrail with the others, half expecting to just see something odd decorating one of the four or five-car trains he'd almost gotten used to seeing-
It was long. Very long. And moving fast, flames blazing and battering at each other as figures in red and pink and green fought on rooftops for their lives. Orange flames... and fierce, lethal blue.
"Oma and Shu, the earthbenders are crazy!" Lu-shan swore.
The earthbenders? Yakume thought. Tore his gaze away just long enough to give the Guard a disbelieving glance.
"Nobody pushes a train that fast!" Lu-shan snarled, as the train screamed along the rails toward the station, figures growing larger with stunning speed. "Even if they start braking now, they'll overshoot us by a mile!"
Yakume stared at the desperate fight. And the length of the train. And the blurs of green, now resolved into Dai Li uniforms-
Only one of the Dai Li was shorter. Leaner. And parried a blast of fire with a slash of his hand.
Yakume made himself breathe, hearing the crackle of flames in the wind. "They're not going to stop."
"Are you crazy?" Lu-shan was staring wide-eyed at the oncoming juggernaut of wood and stone. "Trains always stop-"
The train howled past, an endless stretch of windows and frightened faces and fire.
Bemused, Yakume waved. Especially at the first car, where a pair of earthbenders who looked like father and son were bending the train faster in a distinctly nonstandard fashion. And where light glinted off knives a gold-eyed girl held ready to throw at any who might block their way.
Endless heartbeats later, they were gone.
Staring down the tracks after them, Yakume shook himself. Glanced at Lu-shan, who stood frozen, mouth gaping. "I take it you saw Guard Huojin?"
Speechless, Lu-shan stared at him.
"That's what I thought," Yakume murmured. And had to shake his head in disbelief, wanting to laugh at the sheer audacity of it... and rage, that such wild brilliance blazed for the other side. "Iroh's heir, in all but birth."
Her author's notes actually rip apart the faults in the series (which is not anime but an american production made to LOOK like an anime)And the best recomendation is her humor in it. It's serious and just the stuff that keeps happening. A lot like Cover Me so it's bloody fantastic!
BLOODY HELL JUST READ IT!
