Character Writing Meme! <3

I don't have a sheep Icon but you all know my "Baa" mentality. :P Ganked from crimsonseastorm . ^_^

Pick a character and I will give and explain the top five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them. Any and all characters welcome (including ones I haven't written but might know about...)
-Any series, any character. I'll give it my best go!

EDIT! I forgot to mention that since Cover Me is the only TF fic I'm writing at the moment, this is very Cover Me orientate! That being said: whew! This is actually harder than it appears. O.O! Who knew?

Meanwhile what's going on with me is I've been super ill the past 2 weeks. (I mean sicker than a dog ill!) So I apologize to everyone for pretty much everything!

Barricade and/or Groundhog, please. XD

Cover Me-Barricade

1) Medic-phobia! He’s petrified of medics and trust me, there is a reason! Everything will be explained I promise you! A critic of this fic actual called me out on this saying “you say Barricade is afraid of medics but you haven’t told us why! This is pointless” … um.. HELLO! The fic isn’t done yet! O.o?

2) Arrogant. He’s very prideful and sometimes his arrogance is his downfall. There are very few things that he doesn’t think he can handle by himself and therefore he can become overwhelmed very quickly in certain situations. Being a commander puts him on equal footing as Starscream and he lets the seeker know it!

3) Determined. He can be very determined when it comes to certain aspects. His determination in stopping Starscream to them rescuing Frenzy, he won’t let anything stop him. His determination also can get him into trouble right along with his arrogance. Sometimes he refuses to see the answer right in front of his optics.

4) Calculating. Barricade has to have a back up plan for his back up plans. He had to not only as a commander but also as someone trying to survive the craziness of being a part of the ‘Cons. He searches for any downside or anything that may come back later to bite him in the aft in any problem presented to him and usually finds them out of thin air.

5) Grumpy. Being in a situation where many if not everything is out of his control are shaking his resolve and he places the blame squarely on the ‘Bots and Primus himself! They need to kindly butt out of what isn’t any of their business and let him deal with things. That they keep taking it out of his hands though makes for one grumpy mech.

Cover Me-Groundhog

1) Steady. He’s a very even mech. Like Ratchet, as a medic, he has to have a level head. He’s pretty level headed and tends to think things through before doing anything. He’s pretty calm for being a Decepticon and being Barricade’s (in my verse) 2nd in command means that he has to have a level head to deal with the other 2.

2) Indifferent. He really could care less about so many things but unfortunately his position doesn’t allow him the luxury! He would prefer to be left alone to work on his inventions but if Barricade asks something of him, he’ll do it. Grumble about it but he’ll still do it if he has to.

3) Easygoing. Strangely enough, he’s very easy to get along with. He’s very relaxing to be around as he never takes anything personal and is an extremely good listener. Of course being able to listen to Rollerforce’s constant complaints and Motorhead’s never ending chatter gave him good practice.

4) Parental. With teammates like Motorhead and Rollerforce, sometimes he just feels like he’s doing nothing but watching sparklings all the time. Even with Barricade at sometimes. Usually it’s easy to forget just how young their leader is but sometimes Groundhog has to take charge from his young superior if only to save themselves.

5) Inventive. He was an engineer before taking up the mantle of medic and he still loves to tinker every once in a while. He’s very creative when he wants to be and therefore can get rather overenthusiastic in his projects. Unfortunately for the rest of the RTP, he tends to use them as guinea pigs for his inventions.
